Sally is delighted to be running a Yoga and Healing retreat at the beautiful La Pierre Verte in the South of France. Set amongst woodlands, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
We’ll be spending five nights amongst lush gardens filled with flowers, fruit & vegetables (that will be turned into food by our host Ella), hammocks to laze in, a pool to swim in, an outdoor Yoga Shala to practice yoga in, and a shaded outdoor table to eat at.
There will be two Yoga and Meditation sessions running each day and you will also have the chance to have a holistic massage during the retreat. If you don’t feel like joining in every Yoga session you can take a nap by the pool or curl up with your book.
You will also have the chance to experience a Gong Bath delivered by Bonnie at Sound & Silence. The Gong is a powerful healing tool that can clear out emotional blockages and release stress.
The emphasis of this retreat at La Pierre Verte is rest and healing and detoxing from our digital life. All food on the retreat will be vegetarian (with vegan options) and will be made on-site by our lovely host Ella, using organic ingredients either fresh from her garden or seasonal produce from the local area.
The accommodation strives for sustainability, using permaculture methods for the garden, recycling, and compost loos. You can stay in spacious shared bell tents, a larger Mongolian yurt, or a hand-built tiny house. Some single accommodation is available. All are furnished with comfy beds, coconut floor-matting (bell tents), or hardwood flooring (yurt). You’ll have access to well-equipped outdoor kitchens, including a small fridge. Each tent has its own compost loo, and there’s even electricity in case you need it.
There’s plenty to do in and around Uzès and you will be given time within the retreat to visit the local area such as visiting the thriving market, the local castle with panoramic views of the gorgeous countryside surrounding Uzès or the Pont du Gard (a UNESCO listed Roman aqueduct where you can also swim). There’s also the pretty town of St. Quentain-La-Poiterie which famous for artisanal pottery, the crystal clear waters of Fontain de Vacluse, rock-climbing, or canoeing down the river Gardon. The retreat is located within walking distance from the village of Arpaillargues, 5km from the town of Uzes. The nearest airport is Nimes which is a 30 min drive. Montpellier Airport is an hour’s drive and Marseille 2 hours. The nearest train station
is Nimes Centre (30 min drive), Nimes Point du Gard (20 min drive), or Avignon TGV (45 min drive). Eurostar offers direct journeys from London St Pancras during the summer.
